What is ISADE?
ISADE is short for International Symposium on the Analysis and Detection of Explosives. The symposium is held every three years. In 2013 it is organised by three Dutch organisations engaged with research and development on explosives: the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI), the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) and the National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism (NCTV).
ISADE provides a stage for technical and scientific experts and government officials from all over the world who are active in the field of security and forensics related to explosives.
Concentrating on analysis and detection, participants will present results and discuss groundbreaking developments in the fields of forensics and security covering the following themes:
1. Complementary and common issues in security and forensics
2. ‘New' explosives: state-of-the-art and beyond
3. From analytical to operational and vice versa
When and where?
ISADE 2013 takes place from 7 - 10 October at the state-of-the-art NFI Field Lab facility in The Hague, the ‘International City of Peace and Justice’ in The Netherlands.
